Israel fears a democratic Arab world
26 January 2011

The fall of Tunisia Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, has serious implications, "said Israeli Deputy Prime Minister Silvan Shalom.

In an interview on Israeli radio Friday night, Shalom said he was born into a family of Tunisian immigrants.
"I fear that today we are faced with a very critical stage in the Arab world. If the Tunisian regime collapses, it will not affect significantly the security Current Israeli "he said.

"But we can, however, assume that the sequence of events creates a precedent that could be replicated in other countries, probably affecting the stability of our system. "
Shalom added that if the plans of the neighboring state Hebrews were to be replaced by democratic systems, national security of Israel is seriously threatened. The new systems will adopt or defend when agendas inherently opposed to Israel's security, "he said. The
Deputy Prime Minister said his country and most Arab regimes have a shared interest in combating what he called "Islamic fundamentalism" and its organizations "radical" who threaten Israel.
This threat, he added, is the reason behind the direct and indirect coordination between the Israeli secret services and those of Arab regimes.
Salom said a democratic Arab world would end its allegiances, because a democratic regime would be governed by a public generally hostile to Israel.

Note: All articles published by Mr. Gigel not necessarily solely the ideological line of Algeria News, this text has been published because that can bring a different angle of view, but no less interesting.
In our case, we believe that this "democratic wind" was very quickly taken over by the world body for the destabilization of the sovereignty of the Muslim world.
